Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in the fields of theater, film and television. She began her acting career with theater, and was later featured in numerous TV shows and independent as well as mainstream films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she was praised by critics and received a variety of awards and nominations, among them the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. Her career began acting in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. She's appeared on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In terms of her film career, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. She is also well-known for her part in ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
